Choose organic ingredients to avoid chemicals and GMOs.
1/3 cup blanched almonds, 1/3 cup shelled walnuts, 1/3 cup seeds (pumpkin or sunflower), 10 Medjool dates, 1/4 tsp cardamom, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 5 drops of orange essential oil.
1. Put all the ingredients in a food processor fitted with the S-blade and pulse the machine until the mixture forms a thick paste.
2. Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
3. With a spoon, shape the mixture into bite-size balls, shaping them gently with your hands and putting them on a plate.
This Ayurvedic snack provides lasting energy and grounding benefits, especially for Vata people. Pitta people will eat these treats in moderation and Kapha people will avoid them due to the heavy qualities of the dates and nuts.
