2 cups unsweetened milk (raw, almond, or coconut), 1 tsp ghee or coconut oil, 1 tsp turmeric (powder or grated root), 1/2 tsp ginger (powder or grated root), 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, 1/2 tsp cardamom powder, pinch of black pepper, raw honey to taste
1. Place milk and spices in a saucepan and heat up.
2. Turn off the heat.
3. Add in ghee and honey, stir well.
4. Pour in two cups.
Turmeric is anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-bacterial and antimicrobial and improves circulation as it heats up and thins the blood. Cinnamon stimulates digestion and honey breaks down mucus, while ghee and cardamom calm the nervous system down.Black pepper activates the properties of turmeric.
