6 servings

1 (12-ounce) bag fresh or frozen cranberries, 1 orange (juice, pulp, zest), 1 tsp all-spice blend, 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated) zest, 1/2 cup maple syrup grade B.

1. Rinse the cranberries in colander.

2. Place them in a small saucepan, along with the orange juice, pulp, zest, spices, ginger and maple syrup.

3. Simmer gently for 20-30mn until the cranberries pop and the sauce thickens.

This sweet and sour sauce is the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving meal. The sour taste of the cranberries and orange will help you digest your feast, while the heat of ginger, warmth of spices and sweetness of maple syrup will counterbalance the flavors. As an added bonus it is loaded with antioxidants and only contains natural sugars!
