Cooking Time

2 servings

1 cup of liquid (water, coconut water, almond or coconut milk), 1 splash of aloe vera, 1 cup of frozen berries (I use frozen organic berries), 1/4 avocado, 1 Tbs of hemp or chia or flax seeds, 1 scoop of protein powder (hemp or collagen), 1 Tbs of green powder or 1/2 tsp each of chlorella & spirulina.

Blend away and enjoy!

If you are looking for a good recipe for a smoothie, my favorite is packed with antioxidants to help fight free radicals and give you an energy boost anytime of day. I make it daily as a snack and often sneak into it my liquid or powdered supplements. I like to thaw the frozen berries slightly and don't recommend drinking anything cold first thing in the morning, since it hinders your digestion. Generally to sweeten my smoothies, I prefer to use dates or honey. Oftentimes, the fresh fruit is enough to satisfy a sweet tooth.
