YOGA

Both uplifting and meditative, yoga enhances flexibility, strength, and balance, as well as productivity, creativity and focus. Using a combination of Asanas (postures) and Pranayama (breathing), yoga helps induce relaxation, reduce stress, tone the body, cleanse the organs, increase energy, improve circulation and prevent many illnesses.

I have been practicing yoga for 20 years. I discovered yoga at the gym, I gave it a try and was instantly hooked. Yoga is a complete practice: you stretch, tone, balance and relax all at the same time. I had practiced ballet and jazz for years and to me, it was a perfect way of expressing my body, taming my mind and connecting to spirit.

I studied Hatha yoga with Gloria Capron and Audrey Allen as part of their Teacher Training in 2010. I teach yoga on various styles of music, with a focus on breath, proper alignment, strength building, and flow. Having a background in vinyasa and ashtanga yoga, I like my classes to be inspiring, soothing and nurturing, yet challenging. I have a holistic approach to life (healthy eating, natural healing, green living) and yoga is a necessary part of it: it nourishes my body, mind and spirit.

I am a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Instructor and have been practicing all styles of yoga for 20 years. I offer private and group classes locally. I offer customized one-to-one yoga sessions for beginners or advanced students who wish to refine their skills and improve their posture, as well as enhance their understanding and practice of yoga, and also teach corporate, kids, group, and semi-private sessions.

I currently teach at Pure Pilates in Aix en Provence on Mondays at 9am, at EmiDance Studio in Venelles on Tuesdays & Fridays at 9am, at Noelie Yoga Studio in Aix en Provence on Fridays at 12:30pm and Sundays at 6pm.

REIKI


Reiki is a healing energy that helps balance your energy channels and allows the chi (prana/life force/vital energy) to move freely throughout your chakras (energy wheels) for optimum physical, emotional, mental, spiritual health. 

Reiki energy healing is a safe and powerful treatment. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" while fully clothed and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If your life force energy is low or blocked, you are more likely to get sick, anxious or stressed. If it is high, you are more inclined to be happy and healthy. When your energy flows freely through your chakras, you are more balanced emotionally, as well as in your body-mind-spirit. Think of it like Feng Shui for the body, and by extension to your life as a whole.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing energy that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person - body, mind and spirit - and offers many benefits including relaxation, feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. People sometimes notice physical sensations such as feeling tingling or changes in temperature, seeing colors, feeling light or heavy within the body, feeling sleepy or relaxed. Others may not feel any sensations at all which is completely normal. Many have reported miraculous results. 

Prior to our session, ask yourself where you need healing (emotional/mental/physical issue). During the session, allow yourself to open and receive the energies. You may need a few sessions for optimal results.
